Cody makes the holeshot AGAIN and takes 1st at WORCs race # 7!

Cody now leads the series in points with his 5th podium finish. Congrats to Cody! Subject: Cody Rahders WORCS & LOORRS Race Report Date: 2012-08-10 17:49 From: Doug Rahders Cody Rahders wins Round 7 of the WORCS Production 700 class in his UTVunderground.com/Cognito Motorsports/Polaris Industries RZR570. With 27 racers total entered in the combined Production 700/850 race Cody lined up tied in points but leading the points chase by virtue of one more win than his competitor in second place. When the green flag flew for his line he pulled the hole shot. At the first big uphill he was briefly past by second place but by the end of the first lap he was physically in 6th place overall and leading the Production 700 class by 5 seconds. As the race wore on Cody continued to pick off cars from the 850 class and by lap two he moved into 5th place overall. By lap 3 he was in 4th and at the end of the 40 minute race he finished 1st overall in the Production 700 class and 3rdoverall in the Production 700/850 classes combined. Cody now leads the championship points chase in the Production 700 class by 8 going into the final round. Cody then headed back to Glen Helen to compete in Rounds 9 & 10 of LOORRS in his Superchips/K&N/Black Rhino SuperLite Championship race truck and after qualifying second by .012 seconds the day before he was lined up row two inside. At the start Cody and the leader checked out on the field until lap eight where he suffered a blow out in the right rear, his second of the weekend. After it was changed he reentered the race one lap down in 12th place. At the restart Cody began working his way up through the pack moving from 12th place to finish the night in 6th inches from the rear bumper of the race leader and nearly unlapping himself. After suffering flat tires at Glen Helen, Miller Motorsports Park, Speed World, and Lake Elsinore Cody went looking for help and Toyo Tires stepped up in a big way supplying him with a new set of tires for his SuperLite. For Sunday night Cody was again lined up inside row two and by lap four had a commanding lead thanks to the new found traction with Toyo Tires, one that he would stretch out to over 1 second by the midrace caution. At the restart he again pulled away but with a late race wreck a green/white/checker restart was in order. As the green flew he bicycled the truck in turn two and went from first to fourth. He then managed to get back into second on the white flag lap but at the top of turn four ended up spinning out and finishing seventh for the night. Toyo Tires! I could put the truck anywhere on the track and it would stick. I had no idea a tire could work that good. Were so close, with my new Toyo's and the new track in Reno its going to be so fun, I cant wait! Cody Rahders and R3motorsports would like to everyone for their help.
